As an extension of the celebration of International Days and under the auspices of the Executive Director of East Jeddah Hospital, Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, and in the presence of his assistant for technical affairs, Dr. Nadia Al-Hazmi, and the medical director of the hospital, Dr. Rahma Al-Ameri, the Assistant Services Department, the Department of Social Service, the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy, and the Health Awareness Department organized today Thursday the 17th December 2020 is the International Day for People with Disabilities under the slogan (A Day for All) in the hospital lobby in the main building.
Dr. Khaled Al-Ghamdi asserted that physical disability is not at all an obstacle to creativity and excellence, rather it may be a major motivation for it, and he cited many scientists, brilliant and inventors throughout history whose physical disability did not inhibit them to add to all humanity what benefits them and facilitates their lives, as well as He explained that the hospital facilities are equipped to receive this beloved group.
The Social Service Department participated in a number of departments in the hospital, where it presented a presentation of the services it provides in the hospital for this dear category, as well as the Health Awareness Department and its effective role to introduce this group and their rights. It is natural to review some success stories in the process of treating people with disabilities, as well as some devices that contribute to overcoming this challenge.
