main hospital in King Fahd Medical City
The Executive Director of King Fahd Medical City, Dr. Mahmoud bin Abdul-Jabbar Al-Yamani, issued a decision assigning Dr. Ahmed bin Omair Al-Omair as the medical director of the main hospital.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Omair expressed his great thanks and appreciation to Dr. Mahmoud Al-Yamani and Dr. Mustafa Youssef, Executive Director of Medical Affairs, for the trust, wishing God Almighty help and payment to provide the best services to patients.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Omair obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from King Saud University, the Saudi Board and the Arab Board in Internal Medicine. He completed two and a half years in a fellowship in Hepatology from the University of Toronto in 1998.
Dr. Al-Omair worked as a consultant hepatologist at King Fahd Hospital for the National Guard from 1999 to 2005. He joined King Fahd Medical City as a consultant and head of gastroenterology and hepatology. He also worked with a team to establish and expand the Department of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy in 2010.
Al-Omair served as the first president of the Saudi Society of Liver Diseases and Transplantation, and, along with its members, contributed to the establishment of the Saudi Directory of Liver Diseases.
