The Director of Radiology and Applied Services in Al-Ahsa Health Department, Dr. Qasim Alwan, revealed the creation of a new and advanced project and unit for diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services at King Fahd Hospital in Hofuf, namely: the Communication Radiology Project, which enabled radiology departments in hospitals and specialized and health centers to benefit from doctors Consultants with subspecialties at King Fahd Hospital, as the reference hospital in the governorate to study various examinations, and access to rapid diagnosis of cases, and the Interventional Radiology Unit.
It offers delicate therapeutic procedures, such as dilating peripheral arteries for diabetic foot patients, installing stents, emptying cysts, taking biopsies, and treating varicose veins, uterine fibroids and liver tumors.
