During sleep * I feel weakness in the feet during sleep at night, and I do not feel it at any second time. I also sometimes feel weakness, but the sensation increases at night .. Is there any problem? Or is it a result of a lack of exercise? Is there a need to go to the doctor? Is there a specific food that reduces this weakness? Note that I do not exercise due to my long work - a clinical neurological examination of the foot must be done in order to identify the problem. There is a common problem that occurs in the extremities during sleep and results in paresthesia that may be severe in one of the extremities. This problem is usually benign and results from pressure on a nerve or artery and it disappears after adjusting the position of sleep. But, as I mentioned previously, a neurological examination is necessary to ensure that there are no neurological problems.

Choking during sleep

I suffer from frequent choking during sleep or something like choking. My question is, is choking during sleep a sign of disease?

Choking during sleep has more than one reason. The most common cause is sleep apnea and its manifestations include snoring and increased urination during sleep (urge to urinate). And dry mouth upon waking and discomfort after sleeping. But there are other reasons, such as acid reflux from the stomach into the esophagus during sleep, and the acid may reach the throat, and this leads to severe suffocation and coughing. Also, sinusitis and increased phlegm that runs from the nose to the throat may lead to this problem. Also, breathing problems such as asthma increase at night and during sleep and may cause shortness of breath during sleep, and it is usually accompanied by a cough. Also, people with weak muscle and heart infarction may develop lung congestion during sleep, and this causes repeated attacks of suffocation during sleep. First, an accurate diagnosis must be reached, and then the treatment becomes easy and accessible.

Thinner and harder

before sleep

I have insomnia and difficulty trying to sleep. But just that I slept very hard for me to wake up. Even after waking up, whether I slept 6, 8, or even 10 hours, I wake up as if I did not sleep for an hour, and everyone who hears my voice in the morning thinks that I am sick from extreme fatigue. I feel dizzy, heavy in my body and lack of focus, and I prefer not to leave the bed because of the fatigue

May God bless you, please advise me about my problem, its cause and methods of treatment.

Insomnia has many causes, but the causes can be grouped into three groups: psychological causes, organic causes, and behavioral and environmental causes. Insomnia can be divided into three parts:

1- Difficulty starting to sleep: The sufferers complain of difficulty sleeping when they go to bed, but as soon as they fall asleep, their sleep continues normally.

2- Frequent awakening: The injured fall asleep easily, but they complain of interrupted sleep, its instability and continuity.

3- Waking up early: Patients complain of waking up early in the day and being unable to return to sleep.

And each department has its own causes and treatment depends on the cause. I would like to clarify to the readers that simply complaining about insomnia does not enable the therapist to start treatment as more information about the problem is required. The fact that your sleep continues after going to sleep and that you do not feel active during the day may indicate that you have a problem during sleep, any problem that affects the quality of sleep, such as breathing problems during sleep or movement of limbs during sleep, so you may benefit from a sleep study.
