There is a disorder that occurs during sleep known as "bursting head syndrome", which is a sleep paralysis in which the sufferer complains about hearing an explosion inside the head or a loud noise and an annoying sound inside the head during sleep. Medical condition increases with tension or staying up late.

Others suffer from a strong flash of light like lightning inside the head, and the patient may suffer from both problems: the explosion and the light. This disorder usually occurs at the beginning of sleep and may recur several times a night, causing anxiety and fear of sleep. This disorder affects middle-aged women more than men. It is thought that when most neurons in the brain start to sleep, some of them increase in activity, but the EEG did not show clear changes in the brain''s electrical system. It is not known how common this disorder is, and I have seen a few cases of it, but it is believed to be present among patients, but it is not diagnosed in most cases. Treatment consists mainly of reassuring the patient that there are no complications of this disorder on the nervous system or other organs. There are some drugs that can be used to treat the disorder.
