In an operation that lasted five hours, saving the life of a young woman by removing the pancreas, duodenum and gallbladder, Ibrahim Al-Shaiban wrote: A medical team at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah managed to save the life of a young woman whose age did not exceed 23 years, after undergoing a delicate surgery that lasted about 5 hours Continuous, during which the entire pancreas, duodenum, and gallbladder were removed, as the patient was suffering from severe abdominal pain, and after conducting the necessary x-rays and laboratory tests, it was found that there was a large tumor in the entire pancreas, and the patient was prepared and the operation was completed successfully, thank God.
Fawzi Anani, a consultant general and laparoscopic surgery and the head of the medical team that conducted the operation, stated that the operation was carried out with great success, and the patient''s condition improved and was discharged from the hospital on the seventh day after the operation, which is one of the largest surgeries due to the tremendous medical progress the Kingdom is experiencing. Anani said: The operation is considered one of the large and delicate surgeries and the latest modern technical means were used in it, and he explained that the histological analysis that was conducted during the operation showed that there were no malignant cells.
